Hotel Boutique Calas de Alicante

Clean, good size room for 2 ( 1 adult, 1 child ) with air-conditioning. Very friendly , professional staff. 1 very small kids pool and a small pool for adults. Breakfast was nice. The hotel has a buffet for dinner with a good selection for €20 1 drink included.. Good location. The bus stop is 3 mins walk from the hotel. Number 22 bus takes you to San Juan beach in 10 minutes.Bus Stop across the road, No22 bus takes you to Alicante center in 10-12 mins. The beach near the hotel doesn't look nice but a further 10 minutes walk, there is a small beach with very shallow water and a surfing club... Coffee shop, bakery, butcher, Italian pizzeria opposite the hotel ( Centro Comercial Venecia ). Super markets Mercadona and Supercor 10.mins walk. We truly enjoyed our 9 days there. Down side, kids pool is very small

Breakfast was ok with good choice. Location was out of city, but had excellent bus connections.

Small hotel. Friendly staff. Good welcome. Plenty of information at reception including maps. Handy for Metro. 1.45 Euros. Breakfast was really good. The room had a view of the sea which was lovely. You can start a coastal walk to Alicante from the front of the hotel. 1hr 15mins. The wine was lovely and very reasonably priced. There are some amazing restaurants 10 mins away near the metro station. One tapas place on the roundabout near metro was great and VERY Spanish.

The pool was very clean and the hotel was very clean, Reception staff extremely helpful and attentive, ordered us taxis, gave kettles and fans, helped with directions and extra towels, the pool man took a lot of pride in cleaning the pool every morning, so the levels for swimming were always perfect, no stinging eyes. Cigarette machine on site. Cleaned our room every time we put a notice on the door for fresh bedding and bin bags. Very quiet but believe that’s due to the seasonal date we travelled off peak.

Most of the staff (guys from the reception, cleaning ladies) were extremely nice and helpful! There was an option to rent bikes for 15 euros per day. The room was tidy, with a balcony, minifridge with complimentary water, and a desk, but no wardrobe (recommending taking your own spare hangers). Upon arrival, we were granted a card, which allowed us to get a free drink at the bar. The room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was not very special but nice, with many options. But it never changed, at the end of our stay after 2 weeks we were quite bored with it.
